Manchester. 90s.

Eric Cantona arrived in English football with the collar turned up and never really put it back down.

At Manchester United, it became part of the uniform: number seven, chest out, collar raised. Then came 1995 — Selhurst Park, suspension, court, and one of football’s strangest press conferences.

Asked to explain himself, Cantona gave the press a sentence about seagulls, trawlers and sardines, then walked away. Years later, he said the line had been deliberately absurd — his revenge on a media that demanded an explanation.

The quote became legend. The collar already was.

Medium-heavy 8 oz/yd² (271 g/m²) fabric with a soft brushed interior.

Made from 50% U.S. cotton and 50% polyester. Heather Sport colors use a 60% polyester / 40% cotton blend.

Classic unisex fit with a double-lined hood, color-matched drawcord and front pouch pocket.

Ribbed cuffs and waistband with spandex provide stretch and help the garment retain its shape.

Double-needle stitching reinforces the shoulders, armholes, neck, waistband and cuffs.

Finished with a tear-away label for added comfort.

Machine wash cold, maximum 30°C / 90°F.

Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. Tumble dry on medium heat. Iron on low heat if needed, avoiding direct contact with the printed design.
